In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of Bash scripting and progress to intermediate techniques. Whether you're just starting out or looking to level up your skills, this class is for you! No prior knowledge is needed. Come as you are and be ready to code.

Introduction to Bash and Scripting
What is a Bash script and how does it work?
How to create a simple script
Basic Bash Commands
Essential Unix commands (e.g., ls, pwd, cd, echo, cat)
Creating, Editing, and Running Scripts
Writing your first script
Making scripts executable
Running scripts from the terminal
Command-Line Arguments
What are arguments in Bash scripts?
Passing arguments to scripts
Using $1, $2, etc. to access arguments
Special variables like $#
Basic syntax of if statements
Using comparison operators
Writing conditional logic based on user input

What You Will Need:
A Laptop with Bash
Mac and Linux: You’re all set! Bash is already installed on these systems.
Windows: Please install Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) before the class. Once installed, make sure to launch WSL so you’re ready to go.
