NSL Hacks - Reverse Engineering Software
Details
A monthly meeting for those interested in learning more about cyber security, hacking, penetration testing, reverse engineering, and embedded security. If you're interested in cyber security, come make some friends and learn some new things!
This month's topic is a presentation on Reverse Engineering Software! Learn about how compiled programs can be analyzed without access to the source code, the basic tools used for reverse engineering, and some techniques for understanding what a binary is really doing under the hood. We'll walk through examples and explore tools commonly used by security researchers and vulnerability analysts.
Bring a laptop if you'd like to follow along. Please have binutils and Ghidra or Binja installed ahead of time.
Come learn some new things, make some new friends, and have a good time!
