Welcome to NY Outdoor Adventurers!
This group is aimed to provide a flatform to create active sport events for active fit adventurers, mostly at a bargain group rate price. This group is for professionals to enjoy active, and adventurous activties in group setting and make friends in the process.
The main activies include: adventures, outdoor and sport activities, skiing, snowboarding, skydiving, scuba-diving, wave surfing, wind surfing, paragliding, parasailing, horse-back riding, ice-skating, alpine skiing, downhill skiing, figure skating, ice dancing, roller-blading/skating, badminton, table tennis (ping pong), archery, tennis, volleyball, swimming, biking, hiking, zip-Line, adventure courses, paintball, kayaking, bowling, fitness, gym, golf, fencing, whitewater rafting, camping, rock-climbing, sports and recreation, and more ...

* 5/24 Saturday:
• Arriving at Newport. After lunch, start a scenic walk along the Cliff Walk, a 3.5-mile path that offers stunning views of the ocean and the famous Newport mansions.
• Take a tour of The Breakers (extra cost), a breathtaking mansion built by the Vanderbilt family in the late 1800s. We can also visit other historic mansions like Marble House, The Elms, or Rosecliff if we have extra time.
• Have dinner on the way to the house, and grocery shopping for breakfasts & drinks.
* 5/25 Sunday:
• Begin the complimentary Self-Guide Drive Tour on our way to Provincetown. Visit few lighthouses, and Cape Cod National Seashore.
• Visit Macmillan Pier, touring Pilgrim Monument & Provincetown Museum (extra cost), Pilgrims' First Landing Park, and walk around Commercial Street.
• Dine out or get some groceries & cook the dinner.
* 5/26 Monday:
• Visit the downtown Chatham for charming shops, Chatham Lighthouse, and scenic beaches.
• Visit Hyannis, John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum & JFK Memorial.
• Optionally, stop in Plymouth to see the historic Plymouth Rock.
• Have lunch & head back to NYC.COST (LODGING & TRANSPORTATION)

• Grocery shopping for breakfasts before heading to the house. After dinner, hang out at Seacret bar, one of the most famous bars in the east coast, and enjoy their live band & DJ spinning latest hits (extra cost).
* Jun 21 Saturday:
• Rent a paddle board (SUP) or a kayak for 2 hours (extra cost), free lesson included. Enjoy the water adventure & the incredible views .
• Enjoy the famed Maryland blue crabs and/or other delicious seafood for lunch. Check out Jolly Roger's amusement park. Happy hours at Fager's Island, and enjoy live band & DJ's mix.

FINGER LAKES
The Finger Lakes are a destination for all four seasons. Featuring 11 pristine lakes in the heart of upstate New York, the ideal vacation, weekend getaway, business trip, or overnight is never far away. The Finger Lakes are only a short drive from major population centers including New York City, Toronto, Boston, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, Cleveland and more.
The Finger Lakes are known for producing excellent wine, particularly for world-renowned Rieslings. If you are looking to get outdoors, the Finger Lakes are a must-see destination. From hiking and biking, to boating and fishing or even, there's something for everyone to enjoy. There are also a number of state parks with scenic beauty to behold including a number of waterfalls; visit Watkins Glen State Park to see the gorge trail complete with 19 waterfalls, take in the view from Letchworth State Park's Inspiration Point or the majestic 215 foot cascade of Taughannock Falls.

Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. Campers and day-visitors can enjoy the Olympic-size pool, scheduled summer tours through the gorge, tent and trailer campsites, picnic facilities and excellent fishing in nearby Seneca Lake or Catherine Creek, which is renowned for its annual spring run of rainbow trout.
In 2015, the park was chosen from more than 6,000 state parks across the nation as a nominee in the USA TODAY Readers' Choice Poll for Best State Park in the United States, and won third place!

7/4 Friday::
• After lunch, arrive at Buttermilk Creek. It descends more than 500 feet in a series of cascades and rapids. A natural pool at the base of Buttermilk Falls provides swimming with the feel of an old swimming hole. We will hike Buttermilk Falls Gorge & Rim Trail. (1.6 mi & 462 ft gain) (Video)
• The iconic Cornell Botanic Gardens Cascadilla Gorge Trail. It connects downtown Ithaca with the Cornell Campus among one of the most picturesque gorges in the Finger Lakes Region and was voted Ithaca's favorite gorge. (Video)
• Optionally, visit the Cornell Botanic Gardens, a 4,000-acre living museum with diverse plant collections and natural areas. (Video)
• Arrive at the house, grocery shopping for breakfasts & drinks, & have dinner at a local restaurant or just order delivery.
7/5 Saturday:
• Visiting Watkins Glen, a charming village at the southern tip of Seneca Lake. Experience the natural beauty of Watkins Glen State Park, where we can walk through a gorge with 19 waterfalls and over 800 stone steps (2.4 mi & 558 ft gain) (Video)
• Head to Taughannock Falls State Park, where we can hike to the base of a 215-foot waterfall, the tallest single-drop waterfall east of the Rockies. (Video)
• Optionally, we can rent a Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) or kayak for 1 or 2 hours from Paddle-N-More ($28/$38 per person respectively).
• Finger Lakes has the perfect trail for wine lovers — a wine trail, that is! Make our way down the Seneca Lake Wine Trail to taste world-class, local wines (Video), and enjoy the sunset moments.
7/6 Sunday:
• Checking out the house & bring everything to the van/car.
• Hiking in Robert Treman State Park with beautiful views & falls: We can hike either Rim Trail & Gorge Trail Loop (4.5 mi & 810 ft gain) or Red Pine & Gorge Trail Loop (1.4 miles & 288 feet elev gain) depending on how much time left.
• Rent a bike for 2 hours ($20) from Ithaca Bike Rental, and bike around waterfront trail and the town (Bike Paths in Ithaca).
• Optionally, time permitting, we can drive along the western shore of Cayuga Lake & more wine tasting.
• Have a lunch & head back to NYC.COST (LODGING & TRANSPORTATION)

Letchworth State Park, renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests. Hikers can choose among 66 miles of hiking trails. Trails are also available for horseback riding, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country skiing. Letchworth offers nature, history and performing arts programs, guided walks, tours, a summer lecture series, whitewater rafting, kayaking, a pool for swimming and hot air ballooning. Green Lakes State Park's outstanding features are its two glacial lakes surrounded by upland forest. Both Round and Green Lakes are meromictic lakes, which means that there is no fall and spring mixing of surface and bottom waters. We will be staying in a recently renovated big duplex near Niagara Falls, 10 bedrooms, 10 beds (8 queen beds, 2 double beds), 5.5 baths, a dedicated workspace, 2 fully stocked kitchen, & 2 living room. We will max out at 15 people. The house is 5 minutes drive to Niagara Falls (15 minutes walk).

Meet at the pick-up/drop-off area (indoor) in the back of the parking garage (This is different from preivous seasons as it is more convienent & safer to pick-up/drop-off indoor)
Return Date/Time: Depart from Green Lakes on Monday Sept 2nd after lunch around 2:00 PM and expect to arrive at NJ at 8:30 PM, NYC at 9:15 PM & Queens at 10:00 PMTENTATIVE PLAN (Plan may vary depending on weather among other factors)
8/30 Saturday:
• Arrive at Letchworth State Park around 3 PM after lunch. Enjoy this 3.1-mile out-and-back trail near Portageville, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 44 min to complete, and we will see the beautiful Lower Falls. • We will go grocery shopping for breakfasts, snacks & drinks before checking in the house.
• At night, we will get to see the majesty of Niagara Falls from nearby Goat Island as the roaring waters are brilliantly illuminated against the night sky. (1.5 hours)
8/31 Sunday:
• Whirlpool State Park - Whirlpool State Park overlooks the Niagara Gorge. Have a picnic in the field above before hiking below to see the whirlpool up close. The park includes hiking and biking trails, fishing spots, and a playground. (30 mins)
• Niagara Falls Daytime View from Prospect Point & Observation Tower, and walk around the park (1.5 hours)
• Maid of the Mist (Extra Cost $30.25) - This famous boat ride gets passengers up close and personal with the Niagara Falls! The Maid rides right into the mists thrown up by the roaring cascade as the Niagara River tumbles over the edge of the falls. (40 minutes)
• Option 1: Canadian Side Attractions (Recommended for those with US passport or Enhanced Driver License) - If most people opt not to do Jet Boat Ride, we can visit Canadian side for 2 to 3 hours. Cost of walking across the bridge is $1 (4 quarters or change it at changer machine)
• Option 2: Jet Boat Ride (Extra Cost $66.95 + fuel surcharge) - These exciting boat rides take passengers on a thrilling trip down the Niagara River! This round-trip ride zooms through the Niagara Gorge, and even takes passengers to the famous Whirlpool rapids, all of a custom-built jet boat. This ride starts at 10:00 AM. and every hour on top of the hour until 5 pm (45 minutes per ride).
9/1 Monday:
• Check out the house & bring everything to the van.
• Arrive at Eternal Flame Falls. The flame is known to be visible year-round, though it can be extinguished and needs to be relit occasionally. This natural phenomenon, where natural gas seeps from the ground and is lit, creates a mesmerizing spectacle for visitors.
• Arrive at Green Lakes State Park in the morning, and hike Green Lake to Round Lake Trail for about 1.5 hours. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime.
• Optional: Afterward, we can visit Clark Reservation State Park & do some short hikes if time allows & everyone is interested.
• After lunch, departing for NYC around 3:00 PM.COST (LODGING & TRANSPORTATION)
