Harriman: Tuxedo-Mt Ivy Point to Point

You are invited to join us for a moderate to difficult 9-mile hike with about 1600-feet elevation gain. This hike will take about 5 hours plus a 30-minute shuttle.
We will meet at 8:30 for a prompt 8:45 AM departure; at 23 Diltz Rd, Panoma, NY 10970. GPS: 41.18512,-74.07453. Do not go to the trailhead for the start of the hike as this may cause a problem for you in shuttling back. You must be able to assist in shuttling with the car you are driving. We will shuttle to the start of the hike at a hiker friend’s house near the trailhead.
We will hike the (R) T-MI from point to point. This is a classic Harriman hike; uneven ground, rocks, roots, rock scrambles, gradual climbs, peaceful forest stretches. Some of the highlights are Claudius Smith Den viewpoint, Lake Sebago, Eagle Rock, and Panther Mountain.

Bring appropriate gear including a light/headlamp, micro-spikes, snowshoes, food, and water. Review/bring your map to be aware of topography and our location.

If Unable to Attend: Please cancel at least 48 hours prior to the event, so people on the waitlist can attend. If on the day of the event, you cannot make it, please take your name off the going list. Not attending hikers will be marked as “No-Show.” People with multiple “No-Show” will not be allowed on future hikes. Thanks....
