As we all get hyped for the big worldwide sporting event coming soon (woohoo Olympics!), let's remember one of the most fun sporting events from the wizarding world!

As longtime HP fans may remember, during the 2014 World Cup in soccer, J.K. Rowling wrote up the story of the 2014 Quidditch World Cup on Pottermore - describing the opening ceremonies, providing daily updates on matches, and checking in with fan-favorite attendees like Ludo Bagman and Rita Skeeter. It was Rowling's deepest and most satisfying dive into the wizarding world since 2008.
