NY Ski & Snowboard Club (nyskiclub.com) is a group for winter sport enthusiasts. If you are hardcore ski/snowboard fan, would like to learn how to ski/snowboard and want great price, you should join us.
We will organize week long ski/snowboard trip to Colorado, Utah & Cali. weekend trips to Stowe, Sugarbush, Killington, Stratton, Okemo, Jay Peak, & more, and ski/snowboard day trips to our favor Hunter, Windham & Belleayre mountains, and We will co-host events with NYC Active Young Singles (https://www.meetup.com/nycays/) which we have been organizing since November 2009.

Oct 18 Sat: Hike Sam's Point, Ice Cave & Verkeerderkill Falls Transport $49
Sam's Point Area of Minnewaska State Park Preserve, Cragsmoor, NY, USHIKING SAME'S POINT, ICE CAVE TRAIL, VERKEERDERKILL FALLS
Experience this 6.9-mile out-and-back trail with 1,053.1 ft elevation gain near Cragsmoor, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 4 to 5 hours to complete, with . This is a very popular area for birding and hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.
Much of the trail follows a nice crushed gravel path. Exploring the ice caves requires navigating down some steep rocky steps, through some narrow corridors, and up some small ladders. Verkeerderkill Falls offers a nice view and mountain laurel can be seen blooming during the spring. There isn't much tree cover so bring sunscreen and enough water! • Who Should Come: Prior hiking experience required. This is moderately challenging route, and will take average 4 to 5 hours to complete, including 30-40 minutes lunch break (Please bring your own sandwiches & drinks).
• What To Wear/Bring: Wear hiking boots; bring water bottle, hat, sandwiches, drinks, sunblock scream and clothes to change. - • After hiking, we can have lunch nearby before heading back to NYC.

Aside from the food courts, the Oyster Fest boasts of the traditional excitement of oyster shucking and oyster eating contests, a huge arts & crafts pavilion, Newton Shows amusement rides & games, the Oyster Bay Brewing Company beer garden, and continuous live entertainment!

Gertrude's Nose, 5281 Route 44-55, Kerhonkson, ny, USGERTRUDE'S NOSE AND MILLBROOK MOUNTAIN LOOP
Explore this 6.7-mile loop trail with 1,161 feet elevation gain near Kerhonkson, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. This is a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.
Gertrude’s Nose Trail travels through dense wooded areas to beautiful views while trekking along various cliff edges and rock formations, starting from Millbrook Mountain all the way to Patterson's Pellet with the main highlight being Gertrude's Nose.
Make sure to bring lots of water and get ready for some rock scrambling! This route has the potential to get wet and muddy, with lots of little creek crossings so wear appropriate footwear.

Nov 2 Sun: Hike Beacon Fire Tower, Scofield Ridge & Rainbow Falls w Van $49
Mount Beacon Parking Lot, 788 Wolcott Ave, Beacon, NY, USHIKING BEACON FIRE TOWER & RAINBOW FALLS
The Casino, Fire Tower, Scofield Ridge, Lambs Hill, and Rainbow Falls Loop is a challenging 6.8-mile loop trail in Mount Beacon Park, New York, offering significant elevation gain (around 2,286 ft), panoramic views from the fire tower, and scenic features like casino ruins and Rainbow Falls. Hikers should download offline maps due to poor cell reception and be prepared for steep sections, rocky terrain, and potential muddy conditions, especially after rain. Expect 5.5 to 6 hours to complete the hike with the lunches & other mini-breaks. Please bring lunch/sandwich. We will have picnic lunch in the midway during the hike.
