Re: [newtech-1] Password Management

not necessarily mgmt...

but some tricks I use...

1. create a password of romanized word of another language... i.e... French's 'Bonjour' but intentional "mis"romanizing of it... badly... Bunger, .. only YOU know how you messed it up

2. for mgmt.. little dangerous but VERY handy.. email yourself an encryptic msg user / pwd that have indirect meaning but only to you.      i.e.  you have an uncle Bill with wife's name Judy  .. you use as one of your username as: Bill with pwd: opensazme  send yourself an email with subject like:   Jud says    of course YOU thought of it.. so you should know that the Jud is Bill 's wife and says relates to opensazme

3. Different username and pwd for EVERY important acct.. ie.. bank, broker, 401 etc...

simple and some may say.. stupid but.. works for me :)

MUCH hard for those brute force pwd crackers to crack.

just fyi.

PS> also.. try not using zero for letter o and one for the letter l as that is old news and obvious...  don't even use that trick anymore....

PPS>.. come to think of it.. I just thought of a biz model around this idea.. :)
