John -

My wife and I are interested in attending the course. Also, we would prefer BK over Manhattan

Subject: [beekeeping-128] New Meetup: Course in "Beekeeping for Beginners"

Announcing a new Meetup for The New York City Beekeeping Meetup Group!

What: Course in "Beekeeping for Beginners"

When: January 4,[masked]:00 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Meetup Description: First off, this is NOT a Meetup announcement. It's the only way I can get a head count of how many people would be interested in a course in basic beekeeping. The time date listed and the venue are TENTATIVE ONLY. I had to fill in something. This much is certain:
The course will begin in January and run until the end of February, giving everybody time to stock up on equipment. then I hope to have a hands-on session or two actually starting up a new hive or hives in April. The course will be either free or at minimal cost depending on if and how much the venue charges for use of its space.
Please let me know if Sunday afternoons are good for you and if you prefer Brooklyn or Manhattan. I have one spot lined up in the East Village but we are also looking at an alternate spot in Brooklyn in the belief that there are more Brooklynites than Manhattanites who have expressed interest.
