Outdoor Badminton in Central Park, Manhattan

Welcome to our NYC Outdoor Badminton family, where everyone is welcome, whatever your age, fitness level, badminton skills, or planet of origin. We've got nets and extra rackets for you to borrow, and there will be a picnic blanket with community snacks. Bring plenty of water for hydration, energy food, sunscreen, and sunglasses.

Off the top of my head, the words that describe our group are fun-loving, accepting, hilarious, respectful, safe and fartlek (meaning "speed play" in Swedish, and also, it's just a funny word to say.)

All of this is free (find some other way to spend your $) but we do accept voluntary donations that help pay for shuttles, rackets and nets (Venmo: @NYCOutdoorBadminton). And we love when you donate snacks to our community picnic blanket.
