A Red Hook Neighborhood Photo Walk

Details
We haven’t explored Red Hook for quite a few years now (2019) so it’s time for a revisit to this photogenic neighborhood.
We will meet at Smith & Ninth Street Subway at 4:00 pm
Take the F or the G train to Smith & Ninth Street in Brooklyn
Meet outside the station entrance on Ninth Street
We'll walk into the heart of Red Hook and wander the neighborhood. Red Hook is an interesting part of Brooklyn featuring industrial landscapes, gentrified areas, and an always evolving personality. Red Hook has stunning waterfront views, a working waterfront that provides work and opportunities to see ships and tugboats, a burgeoning artist colony, and quality artisanal food and craft emporia. This will be a chance to get to see an area of the city many times overlooked and get some great gritty urban shots in the process. Also look forward to distant sights of lower Manhattan and perhaps, the sunset over New York Harbor at 8:30 pm if we are still in the area.
Also, we can see if we can get into one of the limited amount of rather nice restaurants in this area for refreshment at the end of the walk (I must note that we were unsuccessful in this endeavor on our last venture here but maybe things have changed.)
As always all cameras even cellphone cameras are welcome as are all skill levels, from beginner to pro.
This is a longish walk so I recommend sturdy comfortable walking shoes.
I look forward to seeing you there.

Don't forget your charged batteries and empty memory cards. Tripods are not needed on this photo walk.
Please be on time! The NYC Subway System is a hellscape of unimaginable delays that will wreak havoc on your mind, body, schedule, and soul. Plan your trip with some extra time!
