--All Piano levels welcome--
18+, and all walks of life are welcome, but I would say the vibe is like 21-45, w/ young-at-heart-energy. Normal people only.
This is a group for chill, professional adults who are amateur musicians and want to play piano and make friends/learn MUSIC from each other / show-and-tell what pieces you're working on. The piece you play could be as simple as a Bach Minuet, or whole Sonata, or something original.
Other instruments welcome (bring your own).
This group will meet anywhere private with a piano (Volunteering my apartment as a location until such time as we find better premises)
There is no fee to join or participate. Reservation/confirmation necessary but no deadline to sign up.
This is a musically serious but recreational space. Moderate drinking/420 welcome and encouraged as appropriate - whatever helps to get the right vibe and have a good time.
We will have a loose structure, with lots of music and snacks and good times, and we might even devolve into playing board games while others jam out, and then go out after.
Lastly, please come willing and or prepared to discuss, hear, and/or play actual music. According to me that could be anything from the holy trinity of old masters (Bach, Beethoven, Mozart), to contemporary, to Nirvana or The Smiths, punk bands, etc. Pieces & songs that slaps only. ------------- No stuff like Katy Perry, drill rap, Nicki Minaj or Interstellar theme under any circumstances- you will be escorted out and asked to not return until you rethink your life choices if you play or request such things.
