Ever wanted to submit a conference proposal but didn't know where to start? Join us for a virtual PyGotham TV 2020 Call For Proposals (CFP) event on Monday, June 29th! This is the fourth year in a row that we are organizing a PyGotham CFP event. Last year’s CFP event resulted in four of the attendees going on to give their first PyGotham talks!

This year, the event will be a one hour virtual meet and greet with PyGotham organizers, mentors who have given talks at PyGotham or other tech conferences and fellow PyLadies. You will get the opportunity to learn more about PyGotham, best practices with proposal submissions and ask any/all questions you might have about either.

For starters, if you would like to know more about PyGotham TV 2020 and/or what a CFP, entails, here’s a short video put together by our organizers: https://youtu.be/TpmpFZGnUOw . We highly recommend that you watch it before attending the event. The video link for the event will be added on the day of.

The meet and greet will be followed by one-on-one virtual sessions with our illustrious mentors (check out their bios below!) who will be providing feedback and valuable guidance. We have a bunch of time slots available on June 30 (Tues) and July 1st (Wed) - you can sign up for these sessions here: https://forms.gle/q6UqhZJZdQJjHL7p8 .

This event will be accessible to PyLadies with all levels of experience in giving talks at conferences and we think there will be significant takeaways for all. So, whether you already have a conference talk germinating or are looking to find inspiration for one or just want to come and feel the energy of our community again, we are looking forward to your presence!
