The concept of DevOps turns 10 this year. Despite that it has been a decade since its birth, many organizations have yet to fully embrace DevOps practices and principles that aims to bring development, operation, and testing engineers to work together to improve agility of IT service delivery in today’s fast-paced ever-changing world.

Whether you are new to Devops or have been on this journey for a little while, we invite you to join us at this workshop where we will share the “Three Ways” of DevOps. The Three Ways are the key principles that all of the DevOps patterns can be derived from as explained by Gene Kim in his Phoenix Project book ( https://www.amazon.com/Phoenix-Project-DevOps-Helping-Business/dp/1942788290/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1519827055&sr=8-1 ):
o Systems Thinking
o Feedback Loops
o Culture of continuous improvement and learning

The workshop focuses on using practical exercises to reinforce the learnings of the Three Ways. The practices are designed based on real life scenarios and are geared toward software development organizations.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
o Experience and learn to apply the Three Ways of DevOps
o Learn practical techniques, such as Value Stream Mapping, to use for systems thinking
o Visualize feedback loops in action and how to implement one
o Experience techniques on how to inculcate continuous improvement and learning in your organization

Anil Jaising (https://twitter.com/aniljaising?lang=en) has over 20 years of experience working with banks as a developer, leading teams and an agile coach. Anil is a CSM, CSP and a martial arts coach with a third degree black belt in Karate. Anil is an executive director at JP Morgan and writes on NimbleByDesign.com blog focusing on agile, innovation and devops . Anil also speaks frequently at various industry and technology conferences. Anil is constantly looking for opportunities to learn and improve.

Linda Fung (https://www.linkedin.com/in/linda-luna-fung-3038909/) is a CSM and CSP. She is an aspiring agile coach who has an open mind to learn and open heart to connect. She is an optimist and a learn it all.
