NYC Short Film Club -Short Filmmaking- 2025 Kick-Off for New Members - VIRTUAL

Note: This meeting is specifically for new members joining our club! This is a NEW SEASON of short filmmaking, so if you are new to the group you SHOULD attend this or next week's meetup to have access to our upcoming project meetups. If you miss the meeting, DM me, Laura the organizer and I will get you personally up to speed.
This club's meetings are via zoom every Thursday 7:30-9:30pm. You can participate as much or little as you have time for. This club is first and foremost designed for filmmakers as well as the 9-5ers who want a taste of filmmaking as a secondary creative outlet. For film shoot days, we meet in-person at one location of all-day filming on a weekend day (only a handful of times per year!). You can either participate virtually or in-person. Each short will need an in-person onset crew of approx. 10-15 members and a few post production members (editors, colorists, sound designers welcome!)

Hi new and returning NYC Film Club members!

Join us Jan 23rd, Thursday night- we'll meet virtually via Zoom link to kick off the conversation for our upcoming 2025 filmmaking spring season! We'll cover all the established club basics to get new members up to speed, answer any Q&As, and refresh previous members on the new, exciting things happening this year.

This is a hands-on, fun type of filmmaking club to meet others who want to make short films, and attend hands-on workshops to get our 'crew' warmed-up, working together, problem solving onset, and learning what works and what doesn't. This is a great social club and creative outlet for filmmakers of all skillsets and backgrounds and is a great way to hone your skills or try out new ones!
No need to have any experience- this is a fun and impassioned hobbyist/ recreational group and we all learn from and help each other. All feedback and levels of experience are welcome. Message below if you have any questions!
