First we'll tour the Vinegar Hill historic district near DUMBO, a serene enclave full of lovely old homes dating back to the 1840s, which will transport us to another era. Next we'll briefly visit the nearby Museum of the Brooklyn Navy Yard, which once employed 70,000 people. Afterwards we'll head into DUMBO for the new Museum of Food and Drink, now featuring an exhibition exploring flavors, including a flavor kit for each visitor. Our appetites whetted, we will then have lunch at the elegant Timeout Market (food court), where the vendors are chosen by Timeout's expert food writers. You can buy food there or bring your own. After a leisurely lunch, we'll walk the riverside paths of Brooklyn Bridge Park, including parts we didn't explore in our last DUMBO tour.
