Rockaway Beach NEW TIME: 12:40!

FORECAST JUST CHASNGED: 38% CHANCE OF RAIN AT 5 PM. SO LET'S MEET EARLIER, GETTING ON LINE AT 12:40 TO CATCH THE 1:15 FERRY.
After the hour long ride, we'll hang out by the water, bathe if you wish, then walk the boardwalk to the vibrant cluster of restaurants and bars. You can return by subway or ferry at around 4:30 or 5 PM, later if you stay to dine. THE LINES MAY BE LONG, SO YOU MAY WANT TO BUY A RESERVE TICKET, SINCE THE REGULAR ONE DOESN'T GUARANTEE YOU A SPOT ON THE 1:15 BOAT. YOU CAN BUY RESERVE FOR THE RETURN TRIP AS WELL, IF YOU KNOW WHICH BOAT YOU WANT TO CATCH. (I'M NOT SURE HOW LONG THE GROUP WILL STAY AT THE BEACH.)
TICKETS: $12 each way for reserve, $4.50 for the general ticket. You can buy general tickets at the pier or on the NYC Ferry app. Reserve is also available on the app, but I'm not sure about the pier. You can return by either ferry or subway.
SUBWAY RIDERS: The 2, 3 train to Wall Street is closest to Pier 11; the 4, 5 to Wall is a little farther. Please google MTA Service Changes for weekend changes on your trains.
