Brooklyn boardwalk (sunset, nearly full moon, and fireworks!)

The shore and boardwalk in Brighton Beach and Coney Island are magical (and pleasantly cool) at night, especially with the almost-full moon reflecting on the water. We'll walk along the boardwalk and shore through Brighton and Coney, viewing the nightlife (including Coney's Luna Park). At 9:45 we'll watch the fireworks from a long pier! Come and enjoy being on this distant planet, light years from the conventional city.

DISTANCE: About 3 miles.

ENDING TIME: Probably around 10:00. But you can leave earlier, of course.

SNACK: Bring your own food to eat during a rest break.

TRANSPORTATION: B or Q train to Brighton Beach station.

FOOTWEAR: Wear suitable shoes for walking on the beach and shore.
