Beauty By the Water: Randall's Island, art show & and Upper Far East Side

First we'll visit the art show and other attractions in scenic Charles Schurz Park. Next then explore view a remarkable old cul de sac and a quaint street filled with birdhouses! Then we'll walk up to and across the 102nd Street pedestrian bridge to Randalls Island, where we'll explore the gardens, , wetlands, woodlands and riverside paths; we may see Monarch butterfliies in a garden planted for them, since this is migration season. Finally, we'll return to upper Manhattan at 125th St. via the RFK (formerly Triborough) Bridge

DISTANCE: About 5 miles

FINISH AT: Around 6 PM, though you can leave earlier of course.

SNACK: Bring your own to eat during a rest stop.

COST:$1, to help cover Meetup's annual $390 organizer fee.

TRANSPORTATION: 4,6 train to 86th St.. and Lexington. (No 5 train in Manhattan this weekend.) Please google MTA planned service changes for alterations on your subway lines.
