InsurTech: Blockchain's Impact on Risk, Security, and Data Law

Details

Blockchain, like other innovations in InsurTech, is disrupting business functions across the insurance industry. Old models of the insurance market, with high transaction costs, fraud and inaccuracies in claims, are ripe for greater efficiencies and disintermediation. Just a few figures to illustrate this:
• Close to a half trillion dollars are spent annually in the US on administrative costs for health insurance*
• The average US household pays a premium of $400-700 a year for insurance fraud (not counting healthcare)
• PWC estimates that Blockchain can deliver $5-10 billion in savings on reinsurance

Yet with these opportunities come regulatory and related data privacy and security issues. Come and listen to some leaders in Blockchain implementation and experts in data privacy and compliance.

Who should come: Professionals in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Compliance, IT/IS, Risk and Insurance Management, Legal, and the Tech sector
