Come to Vegan Drinks on March 28th at Solas! Little Choc Apothecary will be onsite, offering both savory and sweet crêpes! They’ll be making herbed mushroom crêpes, pizza crêpes (with cashew cheese), and build-your-own sweet crêpes (with fruits, nuts, vegan Newtella, and other toppings). Chilis on Wheels will be fundraising during our event, offering raffle prizes and receiving a portion of all drink sales. Chilis makes veganism accessible to communities in need through meal shares, food demos, clothing drives, and mentorship. They provide networks of support and build strong empowered communities within the areas that we serve. Come learn more about their work and support this incredible organization. Miss Blue Sky - aka Melissa Ratisher - will be our DJ for the night. Our mission at Vegan Drinks is to promote veganism and advocate for animal rights. We bring together a diverse group of people, including long-time vegans and aspiring ones who are seeking social support. It’s a great place to meet people, but it isn’t intended as a singles event. We ask all attendees to respect people’s personal space and their right to enjoy a safe environment. Aggressive behavior is certainly NOT welcome at Vegan Drinks. If you witness any inappropriate behavior, or anyone is making you feel uncomfortable, please find an organizer or bartender and let them know. Please help us make this a safe space to eat, meet, drink, and support animal rights causes!

** PLEASE buy your tickets NOW to make this encore screening happen ** Tickets are on sale here: https://www.tugg.com/events/a-prayer-for-compassion-p-n2 By popular demand, the recent world premiere of this film (here in NYC) had such a wait list that Victoria Moran and her team are offering a second screening of this powerful film that suggests that food choices are inextricably linked to our spiritual lives and convictions. The film follows Thomas Jackson on a quest that crisscrosses America and takes him to Morocco for the UN Climate Conference and throughout the Indian subcontinent to ask the question, “Can compassion grow to include all beings? Can people who identify as religious or spiritual come to embrace the call to include all human and nonhuman beings in our circle of respect and caring and love?” Drawing on traditions including Christianity — evangelical, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Friends (Quakers), Seventh Day Adventism, Unity, and more; Judaism; Islam; Hinduism; Buddhism; Jainism; the Native American tradition; Unitarian Universalism; Zoroastrianism; and the “spiritual but not religious” point of view — A Prayer for Compassion calls on people of faith and spiritual seekers of every stripe to come together to bring about a world in which “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them…They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” (Isaiah 11:6 and 11:9) Q&A to follow
