About us
This is a group for everyone in the greater NYC area who want to meet others by participating together in various types of fun or sometimes political events. We all like to have fun and that will continue to be one important aspect of this group but being socially aware people is very important too so I am adding that aspect to the groups focus as well. This is a "yes" only site so if you are not going to join us don't think that you have to repsond "no" but if you are going to join us, please RSVP early to help us create some buzz about an event. :)
All members of the group are invited to post events to the group and hopefully the same event will interest others members as well.
In addition to all of that, anyone who has a business that they would like to promote are invited to become a sponsor to the group for a very small, one time fee.

• What if it rains? The boat will sail rain or shine! The boat has two levels. Both levels have covered outdoor and heated areas (if needed).• What times does yacht depart/return? Boarding 5:45pm, Sail 6:30pm. Yacht returns to Marina at 9:30pm. Please arrive early so you don't miss it.
• Where do I park? There is paid parking at the marina, or you can try to find parking on the street.
• What are the ages? Good mix of all ages 21 and over.
• Can I come alone? Yes, about 90% come on their own.

How else is it similar/different from Traditional Speed Dating
One on One dates:
We will break participants into pairs of two, just like we do with traditional speed dating. You will get to speak to each dates for a specified amount of time (typically 4-6 minutes). After the specified number of minutes, the guys will rotate to the next date and the process continues.
Just like with traditional speed dating, at the end of the event you will be able to let us know who you were interested in. We will send you both mutual matches (you picked them and they picked you) as well as one way matches (they picked you but you did not pick them).
You are given 20 minutes from the end of the event to let us know who you are interested in and will receive the results the same night (usually within one hour) or the next morning. You will not have to wait 24 hours or more to get your results.

How many potential dates will be there?
The minimum number of potential dates will be 5 and the maximum will be about 15. If for any reason there were less than 5 members of the opposite sex in attendance, you would get credit for a future Virtual event.
