New Years Eve Backpacking - Harriman - Easy

Hey Guys,
4th Annual Backpacking trip to ring in the New Year!

Lets meet at Fingerboard shelter, a very easy less than a mile hike in from Tiorati Circle parking lot, for an overnight night to ring in 2026!

Beginners or new folks welcome to join, there is no agenda for this trip other then to spend quality time with good people in nature! Expect a very diverse set of people from all walks of life, age, colors and interests. You must have an open mind.

Group size limited to 10 people, all interested parties will be wait listed until closer to the event day.

Weather should be around highs in 40s, lows in 20s perfect shoulder season to test out any new gear from the holidays. Always a chance of rain this time of year last NYE we had snow! But only heavy rain will cancel this event.

There is no water immediately by the camping area though is its a .5 mile hike to the lake to filter if its banks are not frozen yet. There is also an opportunity to stash fresh water nearby.

All participants must have proper cold weather backpacking gear, no gear will be leant out for this trip.
