Join me for a 2-hour street photography walk through DUMBO, Brooklyn’s historic warehouse district turned creative hub.
DUMBO was once the heart of Brooklyn's industrial waterfront, dominated by massive warehouses, factories, and shipping operations from the 1890s through the 1970s. The neighborhood's cobblestone streets were built to handle heavy horse-drawn cargo wagons, while its towering brick warehouses stored everything from coffee and spices to machinery destined for the growing city.
After decades of decline, DUMBO transformed in the 1990s and 2000s into a thriving arts and tech hub, but its industrial bones remain beautifully intact—making it an amazing place to shoot for those interested in NYC history and neighborhood transformations.
We will meet outside the York Street F station and meander through the neighborhood, capturing its beauty and history. No special equipment needed – just bring your camera!
If the forecast calls for rain, I will send a notification on Friday evening to those registered. If you RSVP yes and your plans change, PLEASE update your RSVP to no. Thank you - this helps to determine who to expect at the meetup.
Any questions, feel free to message me. I look forward to wandering about with you!
