Walk Along The Hudson River + High Line

Greetings Shutterbugs.

This is my very first weekend event I will be hosting as your new organizerup!

For this, I'm bringing back an recurring event from Marcos's meetups: the Hudson River Park/High Line loop walk.

We will begin by walking west along 34th Street, passing by Javits Center, and entering the park at 12th Avenue; from there we'll walk straight along the Hudson River Greenway, traversing past Little Island until we reach the Gansevoort Peninsula where we will stop to rest for 15 minutes. Following that, we will circle back via the High Line to Hudson Yards, where our journey will end; from there you can choose to disembark from the rest of us for the 7 train or walk back to 8th Ave/Penn/MSG area. The choice is yours.

UPDATE: The High Line has closed off the 10th Avenue Square section beweeen 16th and 17th Streets for reconstruction. As such our route will be slightly different that I originally planned. You can read more about the project here.

We can choose to continue walking down to Gansevoort, and walk back to 17th Avenue, where the northern stretch of the High Line begins. Or, we can walk to Chelsea Piers, then walk onto 17th Street to the High Line entrance.

This Meetup event will be limited to 6 people max; if you RSVP and change your mind, please kindly change your RSVP status, so that the next person on the waitlist can attend. RSVPs close at 6pm on Friday July 18th.

Lastly, please bookmark this page for any periodical updates pertaining to this event; If there is rain in the forecast, I will make a final decision by the early morning of the event, or earlier, on whether to cancel or reschedule it for the rain date described above.
