Reiki Level 1 w/ Geordie

Greetings Dear Friends,

I'll be teaching Reiki Level 1 on Sat. Dec. 13th on the Webex video conference platform 10am - 5:30pm EST with a 45 min lunch break. The fee for the class is $252 with a $90 deposit. If you elect to also take Reiki Level 2 with me (most students take both) on the following day, Sun., Dec. 14th, the discounted fee is $450 with a $120 deposit. Your ICRT Reiki manual ($25) will be shipped to you before class.

I've been teaching Reiki since 2006 in NYC and have initiated 100's of students from all over the world. I've also taught Reiki in Guatemala and Peru with Healer2Healer and Global Healthworks Foundation.

My own training in Reiki was profoundly life altering in the best of ways and launched me on a path that led out of a career as a cook and into a full time practice as a professional healer / teacher / counselor. I took Levels 1 & 2 with Louisiana Zinn and Level 3 / Master Teacher and Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher with the ICRT Center Certified teacher Carlos Gonzalez. They were both wonderful teachers. I teach the ICRT http://www.reiki.org/ curriculum with their manuals.

Reiki is a healing touch modality that was created by a Japanese man named Mikao Usui about 100 yrs. ago. Usui achieved enlightenment on the 21st day of a fasting and meditation retreat on a sacred mountain in Japan. When he came down from the mountain he realized that he had the gift of the healing touch and he became well known in Japan as a great healer and teacher.

Reiki is a simple practice that can be easily learned by anyone. It promotes healing by inducing a deeply relaxed state in which balance and harmony are restored on all levels of being - physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. For those who dedicate themselves to the practice of Reiki, it also becomes a spiritual path into the highest states of enlightenment.

When you take Level 1 Reiki, you will learn the history of the practice, the 5 principles of the philosophy, and how to give a treatment to yourself and others. Your ability to channel Reiki energy will be activated in a process called an attunement. The attunement takes about 2 and a half minutes and it clears subtle energy pathways in the student and opens up the energy centers in the palms so that Reiki can flow through them. The last portion of class will be spent practicing the Reiki healing techniques

When you receive the Level 2 attunements and teachings, your Reiki will get stronger and you'll learn the meaning and use of the 3 Reiki symbols. You will also learn how to send distant Reiki to people who are not in your immediate vicinity. The last portion of class will be spent practicing the Reiki healing techniques.
