• Essential JavaScript (mostly about anonymous functions, callbacks, async to set us up for Express)
• Node (npm, requiring modules, package.json, etc.)
• Express (routes, templating, session handling)
• MongoDB (simple CRUD queries)

As a heads up, please install node >5.0 and mongoDb before you come to the event. Google Chrome and some text editing software like Sublime would also be very useful.
