The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY is considered to be one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world. Anthony Bourdain, Rocco Dispiritio, Duff Goldman & Anne Burrell are just a few of their famous graduates. Join us for this exclusive experience in their private dining room at Caterina De Medici on the campus overlooking the Hudson River. You’ll get to explore the campus, enjoy an amazing meal and enjoy a guided tour of the nearby historic FDR Mansion and Presidential Library. NYSN founder, Dave Cervini will be your host.
What to expect:
You will need to take the 8:55am train from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie, NY or drive to meet the group at the Poughkeepsie train station at 10:57am sharp.
We will be seated in the private dining room at Caterina for a 3 course meal. (menu below)
Dave will also bring you on a little tour of the other restaurants, classes and campus while sharing the history of the school.
Following the lunch we will head to the historic FDR Mansion and Presidential library for a guided tour.
Following the tour you will be brought back to the Poughkeepsie train station for the relaxing ride back to NYC. Departure at 5:52pm (at the latest)
Space is limited to 10.
Not Included: Alcoholic beverages at the CIA, train fare
Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.
Dress Code: Dress for the weather. There is no dress code for the restaurants but keep it neat.

Governors Island is 172 acres of urban bliss with rolling hills and stunning views of New York City. Come meet new people and journey through dozens of unique historic buildings and outdoor spaces! Enjoy a special guided history tour of this urban oasis and As a bonus, the island will be hosting the Fad Market featuring 30 of the city’s emerg­ing mak­ers, design­ers, artists and small busi­ness­es. You’ll be able to see and shop hand­craft­ed jew­el­ry, art, appar­el, bath and body care, table­ware, home fur­nish­ings, arti­sanal pack­aged food and more.
How It Works:
The group will meet at the Battery Maritime Building located at 10 South Street at 10:15 AM and take the ferry over together. We have your ferry ticket! NO NEED to reserve on your own.
Come alone or with friends.
We’ll enjoy a guided history tour of the island checking out the old forts, historic sites and all the new experiences that have been added in the last few years.
At one point the group will stop to have a bite to eat at one of the dozens of cool food trucks in the picnic area.
Following the tour and lunch break you can explor more of the island and the Fad Market.
