Celebrate the July 4th weekend in style! Spend days on the beach and enjoy watching dozens of fireworks displays from the huge deck! Fire Island is one of the most exclusive and beautiful vacation spots in the New York area. There are no cars allowed on this island of bungalows, quaint villages, fun bars, miles of uncrowded beaches and rolling sand dunes. This will be our 7th year at this amazing newly renovated upscale house that offers spectacular views of the bay, the lighthouse and is only a very short walk to the ocean! Don’t miss this awesome opportunity to spend the weekend out of the city with other fun members of The New York Social Network. Check out the location: Fire Island House There will be a limit of up to 10 guests at any time. The house is large and airy and features a huge outdoor deck so distancing can be maintained. COVID PRECAUTIONS There will be a house host to make sure everyone comply s with keeping the time at the house safe. Sanitizer will be available and all common surfaces will be regularly cleaned. Everyone will have their own dishware, cups, glasses and utensils towels and sheets that they will be responsible for cleaning. There will be assigned bathrooms and showers to ensure everyone keeps those facilities clean. Masks are to be worn in the house when there is any close proximity. Anyone who has been exposed or is feeling ill will not be permitted in the house. Credits will be issued if you can not attend or refunds will be given if we can resell your space. All these activities/amenities are available You can do as much or as little as you’d like: Days on the beach (beach chairs and umbrella’s are provided) Check out dozens of fireworks displays from the island towns or across the bay while sitting on the deck. Biking Relaxing Group dinners on the outside deck Visits to the different villages Kayaking on the bay Visit the Lighthouse Plenty of relaxing time Lunches on the beach at the house or at one of the bayside taverns Nights on the deck or cocktails at the local taverns Leave as late as 5pm Sunday Do as much or as little as you would like. There are 3 rooms with 2 twin beds and 2 rooms with a single full size bed. If you do not know anyone in the group we will do our best to match you with someone like you. (although not much time will be spent in your rooms). This trip is great for novice and seasoned campers because we supply almost everything you need! Celebrate the 4th the right way with a great camping trip with fun people. We have the ultimate private campsite nestled on the shores of the pristine fresh water Hudson River near New Paltz NY. We supply everything except a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow. (private tents are available rental info below) You may also drive there or take the train. On Saturday evening we will go see the fireworks display over the Hudson River at Poughkeepsie. Vinecroft Estate has 18 acres of private secluded land on the shores of the Hudson River complete with a private dock, huge fire pit, boathouse, hiking trails, hammocks, horseshoe pits, BBQ’s, picnic tables, lounge chairs and more. There is nothing across the river but trees and nothing near the camp except the main house ( 10 minute walk). You will watch the sunrise each morning and be dazzled by the stars at night. Activities Include: You can do all, nothing or something in between. Hiking, kayaking, swimming, canoeing, winery visits, relaxing by the river, delicious food, happy hours, conversations by the fire, games and more. You will start your weekend by enjoying the relaxing train ride along the beautiful Hudson River Line to Poughkeepsie. Sit back, relax, read and avoid all the holiday traffic! You may also drive to campsite. Covid Precautions We will limit the number of attendees to 10 ( Normally 15) Masks must be worn when traveling in van, in close proximity at campsite and hikes. All surfaces will be regularly sterilized. Hand sanitizer will be readily available. Cost: Friday – Sunday: $325 ($300 for VIP Members) The weekend will include: -2 nights/2 days at Vincroft Estate Private Campsite. Departure is 4pm Sunday -All Meals carefully and deliciously grilled to perfection. Fish, meat, salads, veggies, desserts Breakfast (Sat/Sun, Dinner (Fri/Sat). Come join us - in a creative, safe and social setting. We will be painting in Central Park. Please bring a mask (required) and something to sit on. We will be limiting this to groups of 10 so that we are able to safely social distance. Included: a pre-sketched canvas, unlimited painting materials (brushes, acrylic paints etc) and a take home bag. No smocks so please dress appropriately. We will provide free gloves. Masks required. This is a BYOB so bring your drinks & snacks - have yourself a picnic while getting instruction for painting! If you are bringing certain types of "drinks", please be discreet in Central Park :) What to expect: • Step-by-step, group-oriented painting instruction, which is designed to simultaneously entertain and enlighten our members. • We'll have a professional artist guide you through a featured painting that is yours to keep and proudly display. And don’t worry — no experience is necessary. • 2 hour course lead that teaches you the art of mixing colors, blending and painting techniques. • All supplies provided - 12x16 pre-sketched canvas, sheets to sit on, unlimited acrylic paint (water based), brushes, and aprons. Directions: Meet by the water fountain behind the Met. To help find group, we will have a co-host (dressed in a smock and beret) meeting peeps by the water fountain located a few steps from the entrance of the ladies bathroom. HOW IT WORKS: After you register for a ticket you'll be given a link that to a Zoom event. At the time of the event, you'll go to that link and the excitement begins! Our live, friendly host/game master will welcome you and make quick introductions among the group. You'll be in a Zoom room with between 10 and 20 other people and will be segmented into smaller teams. The team to solve the most puzzles/questions wins a prize! If you have friends who sign up as well you can ask to be put on the same team (Typically about 70% of people sign up on their own and 30% sign up with friends so you'll have fun whether you sign up alone or with friends).
