About us

Established in 2010, this User Group meets monthly at Microsoft New Zealand, Auckland, for Customers and Partners who use Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement (formally known as Dynamics CRM).

This group is focused at a Business/User level rather than a Technical Developer level. We enjoy sharing news, tips, new features and how to get more out of your digital transformation using Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement.

From April 2020, this group moved its name to the Dynamics 365 & Power Platform User Group (Auckland).

What happens when GitHub Copilot moves beyond code suggestions and becomes a hands-on teammate for real business applications work?

In this session, Nathan Rose shares a real-world case study from a recent customer go-live, where Copilot CLI was used to diagnose, remediate, and verify complex Dataverse and Dynamics 365 Field Service security issues across business units, environments, roles, field security profiles, bookings, calendars, and integration touchpoints. The story includes same-day root cause analysis for reported issues, remediated records, verified changes across UAT and Production, and reusable Markdown audit trails created as part of the process.
The session then shifts from case study to practical demo, showing how to get started with GitHub Copilot coding agents, including assigning work to Copilot from GitHub issues, watching the agent produce a pull request, reviewing the output, and configuring the agent’s environment with repository setup steps so it can build, test, and validate changes reliably. Attendees will leave with a realistic view of what works well, where the current gaps are, and how to start applying coding agents safely in their own Power Platform, Dataverse, and Dynamics 365 projects.
