The Double Standard Lake Merritt Run

REMEMBER -- BRING YOUR I.D. TO THIS EVENT. YOU WILL NEED IT TO ENTER THE BAR -- DRINKING OR NOT!

We will meet at The Double Standard Bar by 6:30pm, start the run 10 minutes later, run around Lake Merritt (a little short of 4 miles), and return to the bar for drinks. Please note -- to keep the line moving at the bar, try to avoid ordering drinks that requires blending or involves many mixing steps.

Like all runs, we will do our best to prevent people from getting lost and we are very flexible when it comes to pace and distance. All levels of running and drinking experience are welcome!

Street parking can be limited in this area. So, please make an effort to arrive early or take public transit. There are also a few nearby parking garages and lots that are within walking distance from the beer garden (hourly rates on these lots will vary). Like anywhere in Oakland, please do not leave personal items of ANY value in your car if you plan on driving here. The Double Standard Bar is roughly a 1/2 mile walk from 19th Street BART, and there is a spot for bike parking.
