Welcome to Oakland Brunch Club!
This group is for anyone in their 20s, 30s and 40s who wants to build real friendships in Oakland through small, in-person meetups like brunches and coffee chats in a relaxed, low-pressure setting.
Whether you’ve just moved to Oakland, have lived here for years, or simply want to meet new people beyond your usual circles, this group is about creating genuine connections. We keep things simple: good food, good conversation, and small groups that make it easy for everyone to participate.
We use Groupvibe to coordinate each meetup. Groupvibe is a platform designed to help people connect offline, and it’s the system we use to organize sign-ups and match members into small groups. While the logistics are handled through Groupvibe, this Meetup group is focused first and foremost on community and helping people form lasting, local friendships.
How it works:
We host gatherings of 4–6 people where you meet over brunch or coffee at local spots around Oakland. Each meetup is intentionally small so conversations can flow naturally and everyone has a chance to connect. Many members stay in touch after their first meetup and continue building friendships beyond the initial event.
Group affiliation:
This group is organized by the team behind Groupvibe. We are transparent about this affiliation, and our intention here is not to sell products at events, but to use the Groupvibe system as a tool to make organizing small, consistent gatherings easier and more thoughtful. The primary purpose of this group is community building in Oakland.
Who should join?
Anyone in Oakland (ages 25–45) who is looking for more meaningful, in-person social experiences and prefers smaller, more intentional gatherings over large parties or networking events. All members are expected to be respectful, friendly, and genuinely interested in building community.
Our intention is simple: create welcoming spaces where people can meet face-to-face, share conversation, and build real friendships.
