Oakland Cake Coalition

Do you like the idea of volunteering your baking skills to support legal advocacy organizations? Join the Cake Coalition as a volunteer baker! Events for this group will focus on one legal aid organization at a time and you will be invited to support by sending in a baked dessert or by joining each event. While bake sales are not out of the question, our events will focus on getting communities to gather around desserts, cultivate conversation around advocacy and foster connections via cake tastings or cake socials. We hope to create aesthetically pleasing cake salons to celebrate your creations while also drawing in Bay Area community members who want to contribute to fundraisers or learn more about organizations like Democracy Forward.
