What we’re about
This group is about building connection, presence, and care in Oakland neighborhoods. The goal is to bring people together in simple, positive ways, to get to know one another, talk about our community, and explore small actions that help make our neighborhoods feel more connected and cared for.
Oakland residents who care about community, connection, and showing up for the city we live in. You don’t need experience, expertise, or a specific agenda, just curiosity, respect, and a willingness to engage with others.
We’ll host casual neighborhood walks, meet-ups, and conversations. Some events may include light, optional activities like picking up litter while walking, grabbing coffee afterward, or sitting together to talk about what we’d like to see improve in our neighborhoods. Participation is flexible, people are welcome to walk, talk, listen, or simply be present. The focus is on connection, visibility, and shared stewardship, not enforcement or politics.
