Our goal is to surprise, entertain and provoke audiences by creating funny, moving and unpredictable improvisational theater.

Human relationships are exposed and tested as determined characters seek to fulfill their desires. Tensions mount and events escalate, revealing the eccentricities in human behavior and interaction.

  • Improv Jam in Park (on Zoom if rain is due)

    Snow Park

We warm up with improv games, then do improvised scenes with various partners. This is a fun and supportive environment open to all.

This jam takes place at Snow Park in Oakland. We are usually located between the children's play area and the lake. Please look for our sign. (One corner of the park is located at Harrison St. and 19th St. We are normally set up on the other side of the playground.) There is street parking in the area. The bathrooms are clean. It may be sunny, so hat and sunscreen may be required. Bring your own beach chair, if you don't want to sit on the grass.

If rain is due during the scheduled time, the jam will be held on Zoom. The Zoom registration link can be found before the event near the top of the page at: https://oaktownimprov.com/. Exact status of the jam can be found 24 hours in advance in the same location.

This event happens every Sunday, and has a $10 requested donation.
