Data Science for Environmental Research & Advocacy - April Meetup

We're celebrating Earth Day with a special discussion bringing together environmental scientists and data visualization enthusiasts!

We'll get to hear from guest scientists working at organizations like the National Ocean & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), who will describe their roles, discuss how they produce and consume data, and share views on challenges, frustrations, joys and wishes for better data visualization capacities.

We'll also hear from Observable Ambassadors working with environmental data, who will share insights about working with data using JavaScript, and how Observable helps to use data to make sense of the world—together.

By opening this conversation, we hope to motivate collaboration on environmental data visualization and raise awareness of publicly available datasets, and to encourage further works referencing NOAA data on climate change & discussion, advocacy and awareness-raising on critical environmental issues.
