At Observable we've worked with data professionals in many different capacities and have had the privilege to witness powerful data visualization workflows. We want to share tools and tips of the trade for improving your visualization process, whether you are exploring new datasets often or trying to get new perspectives on a deep dataset.
In this workshop you will code up a number of charts and custom visualizations on real data. We'll walk you through some important fundamentals and some practical starting points so that by the end of the workshop you feel comfortable trying these techniques on your own datasets!
We've prepared two worksheets that we will go through together to cover a number of common data visualization scenarios. You can try them out ahead of time and bring questions, or follow along as we do the workshop!

No prior data visualization experience is required, a basic familiarity with JavaScript is helpful.
