What we’re about
We are all about hosting quality events with the intention of sparking organic connections, good conversations and a feeling of community for young professionals in their 20's and 30's in the OC area.
Unlike other meetup groups we will be selective about limiting and curating our group size to friendly, active, respectful and engaged members who want to make friends and not just looking for a romantic partner or make other members feel uncomfortable. We want to keep the group a balanced ratio of guys and gals so everyone feels comfortable attending events and it doesn't turn out to be a dozen dudes and one gal. The goal is we want you to look forward to coming out to events because you know you'll feel comfortable, have fun, have good conversations and make new friends in the area who are in a similar life stage as you.
Our members will be limited and frequently curated.
Our events will be engaging experiences rather than passive.
Examples of events you can expect:
- Learn something new together like pottery, cooking, dance, flower/succulent arrangement
- Dinner parties where we cook together
- Learning circle: members who want to can prepare a talk to teach others about something they are an expert in. It could be any topic from gardening to astronomy, CRISPR to jazz improvisation theory.
This is what we mean by intentional.
Also I wish I didn't have to call this out specifically but if your intent is to pick up girls or find a romantic partner this is not the group for you and we will remove you if that is your vibe. It's an prevalent issue on Meetup groups that ruins a lot of groups by making events uncomfortable for everyone.
