OC Womens Flag Football

We are a women’s (she/they) flag football group that plays on Sunday afternoons. We aim promote an uplifting environment for women in sports. We alternate between playing in sand and grass. We follow the NFL flag rules (5x5). Bringing your own equipment is encouraged but not required.

Never played before? Want a fun workout? Want to meet new friends? Looking for a semi competitive environment? All reasons and skill levels are welcome! Come on by, we will introduce you to the rules and hopefully some new friends!

FAQ

1. What if I have never played before?
   No problem, we got you! We will explain the rules before game time.
2. Is this a league or pickup games?
   Pickup! Come have fun and play some low stakes football!
3. Do I need gear?
   Nope! We have flags and footballs. On beach days you’ll just need to bring 1 white & 1 black shirt to differentiate teams. On grass days you may want to wear cleats if you have any (no metal though). Receiver gloves certainly help too if you have some.
4. What do I wear?
   Please don’t wear pants with open pockets (zippable pockets are fine). This is to ensure the safety of everyone’s fingers as we reach for flags. Also please bring 1 white & 1 black shirt to differentiate teams.
