Details
April's meetup is a week later than usual, and a special co-branded meetup, featuring the SF Tech4Good (https://www.meetup.com/sfnetsquared/events/176290832/) group and the San Francisco Online Community Meetup group, together, in the same room, for a talk that will engage both of our audiences.
This month we have Sarah Potts, the Community Manager of Not For Sale (http://www.notforsalecampaign.org/) as our speaker.

Sarah drives the storytelling, community management and impact reporting for Not For Sale. Running the communications department, she is able to combine her passion for human rights work with her background in analysis to identify the value of every infographics, and perfectly written sentence to ensure that our message and our mission is reaching as many people as possible.
Session Topic:
Growing fast? Use platform specific strategies to engage the audience you have, and get the audience you want.
Not For Sale has been working to end human trafficking since 2007. The experience and perspective we have gained over our company’s lifetime has allowed us to constantly reinvent the way we approach our mission. We have made the transformation from a grassroots based campaign to a global organization working with international businesses and top executives, but we must understand how this shift in daily company activity will affect our online communities. Building a strong community is valuable, and continually engaging that community is critical. In this talk we will share how Not For Sale is using platform specific strategies to engage the audience we have, reach new demographics, and discuss the challenge of alienating a current audience in pursuit of expanding our messaging.
See you then and don't forget to RSVP!
