Watch fireworks - 40 minute walk each way

Fireworks at Great America start at 9:40 PM and end at 10 PM.

Starting location
Meet at 8:30 PM at the San Tomas Aquino Creek Trail trailhead at Monroe Street (between Roosevelt Cir and South Dr). The map pin on the Meetup event should go there, or you can use these Google Maps links which both go to the same place:

Do NOT try to drive to the fireworks, the traffic will be insane.

Walking distance / time
We will walk on the Creek Trail to Agnew Rd which is 1.8 miles. Google Maps says will take 41 minutes.

Parking
Look for street parking on surrounding streets: South Dr, Gallup Dr, Roosevent Cir, Elliot St.

You should bring

• Comfortable shoes for walking - the trail is fully paved
• A light jacket - bring next to the creek is slightly colder than outside
• A flashlight or headlamp - the trail is mostly not lit

How to find us

• I will wear a fluorescent yellow reflective jacket
• I will hold up a broomstick with five red bicycle taillights on the end
• I'll share my location using Google Maps Location Sharing (which does not update very fast)
