Gold Butte Adventure

Gold Butte Monument is place that could be explored forever. On this trip we will explore Whitney's Pockets then head over to the world famous Little Finland. Little Finland has red sandstone that the wind with time have sculptured one of a kind formations. This is a definitely bring your camera ride. I'll try and divide the area up into 3 or 4 trips so we can explore more of this area through out the cool season.

This is a beginner friendly ride hardest part is that “ paved road” 😂

Bring water, food, working spare tire, camera/phone and all the awe and wonderment of a child.

What to expect: This is going to be a full day for Vegas Peeps to get to the meeting area by 9am probably leave Vegas 7-7:30am. The road from 170 is called "paved" it's the worse road in the state.
We will meet at Whitney's Pockets upper parking lot there's an outhouse!

There's another 21 miles (45mins) of pavement drive on Gold Butte Road.

Communication: we are using GMRS, it is recommended but not mandatory however, the trail leader is using it to announce change of direction, obstacles on the trail and giving you advices.
