Exploring Logandale

Logandale

We'll start by going south on the east side of the Logandale Loop. The Logandale trail system has amazing views of the red mountain hills all around, rugged terrain and lots of sandy sections.

Terrain is varied with rocky sections and some nice soft sandy parts too. There are 2 obstacles, the first one has a bypass and the second one doesn't, will probably need spotting for this one. We will have a chance to do some high speed loops on a sand bowl, and then stop for lunch at the petroglyphs/pictographs. Once we reach the south end of the loop, we will turn to the east and thread our way out to Overton. I haven't been on this section yet, so it will be an exploration with some expected nice views. Since this second part is an exploration, there is a chance that we might have to turn around and head back the way we came in if we encounter unforeseen trail conditions.

You are welcome to bring guests in your vehicle and you will be responsible for their behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

• High clearance 4 X 4
• Off road A/T or M/T tires
• Food, snacks, plenty of water
• We will use GMRS radios for comms
• Spare tire in good condition
• Knowledge on managing tire air pressure

Notes: From the Gas Station we have about 2 miles of driving before we hit dirt. We usually air down upon arrival at the gas station.
