Food Forest Tour

Details

Join us for a fun and educational permaculture adventure in Dawn’s very own food forest! Dawn is happy to share her extensive knowledge of growing a wide variety of edible and native plants. During this two-hour tour, you’ll see bananas, dragon fruit, katuk, shampoo ginger, macadamia, moringa, sisso spinach, chaya spinach, a vegetable garden, mango, avocado, loquat, nopale cactus, and so much more!
Dawn will highlight the importance of incorporating native plants, shrubs, and trees into your garden or homestead to help support local ecosystems. Feel free to bring your questions—Dawn will be glad to answer them!

What to Bring and Wear:

  • Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes for safety and comfort.
  • Bring water to stay hydrated.
  • You’ll receive clippings to start (or add to) your own food forest!

Plant/Seed Swap (optional but very awesome!):
If you have seeds or plants you’d like to trade, bring them along! We’ll have a mini swap after the tour to share and exchange the abundance.

Date & Time:
10 AM, Saturday, March 29, 2025.

We will gather at the corner of Alhambra Rd SE and Arabia Rd SE. From there, we’ll proceed as a group to the food forest location.
