This will be our second trip to Red Rocks. I'll get straight to the details.

Rock: Red Rock is comprised of a 3000 foot thick escarpment of Aztec Sandstone. This rock is generally quite well-bonded, being more solid than that found in the other great sandstone areas of the west. Mountain Project lists well over two thousand climbs with 58% of them Trad climbing.

Weather: The first weekend of April for 2025 recorded temps were:

Friday- 66/57, Saturday- 72/70, Sunday- 75/73

Averages for April are 70-78/56-60 with a mean temp of 68

It is quite common to be comfortable in the parking lot and freezing on the route. The temperature in the canyons is usually ten degrees colder than town, having some kind of wind stopper is always a good idea.

I'm assuming that at least one camper van may show up and can use 1 of 3 parking in the driveway $50. Free parking on the street for everyone else.

Max number of guest is 10 people.
The hot tub can be heated for $60 a night. I'm going to get it heated for Saturday night. If anyone wants it heated for Friday or Sunday let me know so I can get it handled.
NOTE: The pool is not heated. But with the weather being unusually warm, I don't think It'll be a problem.

Food: I'm always good with grilling up burgers and such Saturday night if anyone wants to chip in. But for the most part it's every man/woman for themselves.
Other notes: Obviously the rooms have first come, first served. If you find someone to share a bedroom with, that's your business. There is one more couch for someone to crash on if necessary.
