Art for Peace
Details
This event series was organized to celebrating the Season of Peace (64 days between the death dates of Ghandi and Martin Luther King) through mindful creativity and collective compassion.
Join us for a seven-week creative immersion dedicated to inner stillness, community connection, and peace-centered expression. Each Saturday, participants are invited into a gently guided environment where meditation, sound, poetry, or mantra opens the space. From that shared calm, we transition into open creative practice with all art supplies provided. No experience is required—only a willingness to explore, express, and be present.
Throughout the series, our focus is twofold: cultivating personal peace through mindful artmaking, and extending that peace outward through collective awareness. Pieces may be for personal purposes, for donating to decorate our community hub (the space in which the workshop is taking place) or to contribute to our World Peace Fundraiser on March 27th, where items will be auctioned to raise funds for a variety of international causes such as Peace in Palestine, Ukraine, Congo, Sudan, and other places where oppression, violence, and war run rampant.
