Okanagan Slow and Steady Hikers

We will meet at the bottom of Knox Mountain -poplar point and Ellis where there are 2 benches. We will walk to the bridge and back. Any questions? Tamar 250-801-0448

This is a local favorite canyon trail with views of Layer Cake Mountain, Scenic Canyon, and the historic rock ovens along Mission Creek.
It is considered moderately challenging with a 11 km approx. out and back and 438 m elevation gain.

We will start at the Scenic Canyon parking lot off of 2080 Hollywood Rd S.

Our moving time is just over 3 hours so I have allotted 30 min for a snack break, and time to check out the rock ovens.

Bring water, snacks, hiking poles if you use them, and tick spray just in case.

This hike/walk/stairs to see the falls is something that has been done for many years. April is usually the best time to see the falls at their best

After viewing the falls and taking pictures we will walk around the estate and make our way to the beach and over to the old packing house where there are picnic benches. From there we will make our way back to our vehicles passing the large playground equipment which we adults always have fun using.

Bring your lunch and drinks. IF IT RAINS EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED.

We shall do just the Peachland portion of the trail but will take in the second b lookout which is on the Summerland side. Great views from both lookouts!

Bring the usual and also bring bug spray 😊 we will stop in Peachland for a bite post hike.
