FUN at the KELOWNA FOOD BANK 9AM TUESDAY

We have 3 regulars and need some more volunteers to help out.

The Kelowna Food Bank REALLY needs your help in the warehouse sorting produce . All the produce from the weekend needs to be sorted. There will be a lot of produce!!

If the lot is full, I have been parking across the street by the chain link fence.

This is a warehouse setting so wear closed comfortable shoes . They have light gloves to wear. I will meet you inside go in the side door.

The Central Okanagan Food Bank is one of the largest Food Banks in the Interior of BC? The Central Okanagan Community Food Bank is dedicated to providing much needed food and support to those living in Kelowna and West Kelowna. Many families struggle to make ends meet. 33% of their clients are children under the age of 15.

4,000 people use the Central Okanagan Food Bank each and every month. And food recovery plays a significant role in nourishing those who depend on our support. Mondays are a very busy day in the food bank's warehouse, as pickups of recovered food from local grocers and farmers carry on through the weekend. Those perishables are then sorted and put into our market. The food recovery program has dramatically increased the quality and quantity of items that can be offered to our clients. The program is supported by a caring contingent of volunteers, and more like-minded people are always welcome - and in full transparency, needed, especially on Mondays. If you could give us a hand, that would be amazing.
