Sometimes we code, and sometimes we just chat about code!

Our meetups usually fall into one of two categories:

Coffee and Code - both are optional, but bring your laptop if you have one and try to get some coding done. We can suggest free beginner-level resources!
Meet and Greet - leave your laptop at home and get ready to do some networking

Join us whether you're an experienced software developer or you're just curious about getting started. Newbies are always welcome!

Newbies are always included at all of our events! Those with all levels of coding or other tech experience are welcome, even if you’re brand new.

We'll be at Big Truck Tacos off of NW 23rd St. This event is come and go, so feel free to show up when you can and stay as long as you want. You can join us for a drink, food, or just to say hi!

No need to bring your laptop this time! We'll just be meeting each other to chat about tech and much else.

Livecoding: editing and modifying a piece of code real-time, usually to experiment or learn interactively in a safe environment.

Algorave: an art form to generate music or visuals algorithmically, showing your code, and generate a welcoming and fun atmosphere.

Join us for an evening learning the basics of generating music with Strudel (https://strudel.cc/) and streaming audio over the internet with Flok (https://flok.cc/s/wej260328#)

No previous experience is necessary. Optionally bring your laptop and a pair of headphones, or just enjoy the sounds of your meetupmates. We will be instructed by Claro F!x, a Portland-based artist.
