One Saturday afternoon. One room. One app to level up.
The OKTech Hackathon brings Japanese and English speaking builders together at QUINTBRIDGE in Kyobashi for an afternoon of building. This time the theme is Level Up! Every team gets the same small app and has two and a half hours to bring it to production level. Deployment, CI/CD, tests, login, security, observability, SEO, payments: every upgrade you get working earns points, and a live scoreboard shows who’s ahead. Use any tools you like, AI included.

This is the second event in the OKTech hackathon series, following Osaka Fasthacks #1 in October. Kansai has two strong developer communities, one Japanese-speaking and one English-speaking, and they don't cross paths nearly often enough. This series brings founders, engineers and designers from both sides into the same room to learn from each other, build together, and put the Kansai developer scene on the map.

Who it's for?
Developers, AI engineers, founders, product people and students who want to see what it takes to get an app into production. Beginners genuinely welcome: every upgrade counts, so one working fix already puts your team on the scoreboard. Come solo and we’ll help you find a team at the kickoff; we’ll happily pair you with people you wouldn’t otherwise have met.

What to bring?
A laptop and a charger. Have your environment, AI tooling and a GitHub account ready, plus an account with a hosting provider you’d like to deploy to. Team matching opens in early November on the OKTech Discord. The starter app is shared at the kickoff, so every team starts from the same point. Projects are submitted through hackersquad.io.

Event Timeline

• 13:30 Doors open, check-in and team formation
• 13:45 Kickoff: welcome, challenges, rules, sponsors and judging criteria
• 14:00 Build time starts
• 16:30 Build time ends, demos start
• 17:10 Judging, winners announced, prizes and group photo
• 17:30 Close
• From 17:30: After party (off-site, optional)

Attending

• Location: QUINTBRIDGE 1F, LAKE (main stage)
• 5 minutes from Kyobashi Station (Osaka Metro Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line, Exit 3), 10 minutes from JR and Keihan Kyobashi Station
• There is no parking or bicycle parking at the venue, so please use public transport.
• It's free but the capacity is limited, so please only RSVP if you plan to come.

🏆Prizes
The top 3 teams each take home a wooden 3D model kit of the Horyuji pagoda in Nara. Built one level at a time and still standing after roughly 1,300 years, it’s the original Level Up. One kit per team is on purpose. Teams often form on the day itself, so we want winners to meet again and build one more thing together. This time without a laptop, but with a nice drink and some good stories.

OKTech Hackathon （日本語）

土曜の午後、ひとつのアプリを次のレベルへ。
OKTech Hackathon は、日本語と英語を話すつくり手が京橋のQUINTBRIDGEに集まり、半日でものづくりに取り組むハッカソンです。

今回のテーマは「Level Up」。全チームに、同じ小さなアプリを配布します。チームは2時間半で、このアプリを本番運用できるレベルへ引き上げます。デプロイ、CI/CD、テスト、ログイン、セキュリティ、オブザーバビリティ、SEO、決済連携など、動いた改善ごとにポイントが入り、ライブのスコアボードで順位がわかります。AIを含め、使うツールは自由です。

OKTech ハッカソンシリーズの第2回です。
関西には、日本語・英語それぞれで活発に活動する開発者コミュニティがあります。一方で、普段使う言語やバックグラウンドが異なると、出会い、一緒にものを作る機会はまだ限られています。
このシリーズでは、言語やバックグラウンドを越えて、起業家やAIエンジニア、開発者、デザイナーなど、ものづくりに関心のある人がつながる場を作っていきます。

こんな方におすすめ

• エンジニア・開発者（AIでものを作っている方、これから作ってみたい方）
• 起業家・プロダクト担当者（アプリを本番運用するまでに何が必要か知りたい方）
• 学生・初心者の方（改善がひとつ動けば、それだけでスコアに反映されます）

お一人での参加も歓迎します。当日のキックオフでチーム作りをサポートします。普段なら出会う機会のない人とも一緒に取り組めるよう、運営がお手伝いします。

開発環境、AIツール、GitHubアカウント、デプロイ先のホスティングサービスのアカウントは、事前に準備してお越しください。
チームマッチングは、11月上旬から OKTech の Discord で始まります。
配布アプリはキックオフで公開するため、全チームが同じ条件でスタートします。作品は hackersquad.io から提出していただきます。

• 会場：QUINTBRIDGE 1F LAKE（メインステージ）、大阪市都島区東野田町4-15-82
• Osaka Metro長堀鶴見緑地線「京橋駅」3番出口から徒歩約5分、JR・京阪「京橋駅」から徒歩約10分
• 駐車場・駐輪場はありませんので、公共交通機関をご利用ください。
• 参加費は無料ですが、定員に限りがあるため、参加予定の方のみお申し込みください。

上位3チームには、奈良・法隆寺五重塔の木製3Dモデルキットを1チーム1セット贈呈します。一層ずつ積み上げられ、約1,300年間「無停止稼働」を続ける五重塔は、まさに元祖Level Upです。キットをあえてチームに1セットにしたのには理由があります。当日初めて出会うチームも多いので、もう一度集まって、一緒にもうひとつ作ってほしいからです。今度はPCなしで、ドリンクと楽しい話をお供に。
