What we’re about
Welcome neighbors and friends in Oldsmar! This book club will be reading and discussing a variety of books, fiction, non-fiction, biographies, etc. We will meet in the evening on the 2ND TUESDAY of every month to discuss our book. We will meet in the home of the month's host, at a park, or any other feasible location. The host will choose the meeting location. Who knows? Maybe even on a boat! LOL We try to stay away from crowded and noisy locations. The host for the month will choose the beverages, any food/snacks to be provided, and the book that we will read. Potlucks are not only welcomed, but encouraged! No stress here... Just a good time shared by Oldsmar neighbors.
Unfortunately Meetup isn't free- The due for this group is only $2/month ($24/year). In the event that our Meetup bill is paid after 12 months, any excess dues collected will be donated to a charity of our choice. Dues must be paid within 45 days from join date. This gives you an opportunity to attend at least one meeting. Good news, though.... our books come from the Pinellas library system, so YOU DON'T PAY FOR BOOKS (unless you choose a book that is unavailable from the library).
Please RSVP for each monthly meeting, as the host will want to know how many beverages/food or snacks to provide and how many books to reserve. Our meetings will NOT be in electronic format because the idea of the book club means sharing in the whole human sense. Should you decide that you are no longer interested in attending, please notify the organizer as soon as possible as there may be a wait-list. Plus, it's the POLITE thing to do! ~~smile~~ If members no-show 3 times within the year, they will be removed from the group and dues will not be refunded.
